Better Late than Never!

Weekend Recap, I know it is Thursday but better late than never! I started a new job this week so things have been a little hectic.

First off, I celebrated a good friend's baby shower! Baby Jackson is due this October and it was such a beautiful day to shower her with lots of love and lots of baby gifts!

Later that night I went to see Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium at a large venue near my house. It was actually amazing. I know a lot of people do not believe in it but it felt so real to me I can't help but think it is all true. It is actually making me really contemplate going to see a Medium myself. There are a few loved ones that I have lost that I would love to "channel", time will tell on that one.

Sunday night we went to a wedding for a co-worker of James'. Apparently I missed the memo to wear a blue/green dress. I did however wear my new purple shoes. They lasted a little more than half of the wedding before I changed into flip flops. I love the weddings that supply you with shoes! This one also had a make you own ice cream sundae bar. It was FABULOUS!!

Hope everyone else is having a great week. I can't believe it is already Thursday. Tomorrow I will post some pictures of my fall decorations as well as another interesting purchase I made this week!

Friday Finds

Happy Friday! Today as I was going about my regular business I found a couple of necklaces that I just had to have. Now keep in mind that I already own this necklace in pink but once I saw it in grey and purple I just thought of all the possibilities I would have wearing the different colors. So I bought them!

aren't they cute??
I also took Cooper swimming today so I had to throw in a picture of that as well because he is just so handsome!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. For me it is filled with baby showers, weddings and the Long Island Medium!!

Unstoppable!!

So I have finished trying all 3 scents of the Downy Unstopables and my vote is for the newest scent, "shimmer". I had been liking "fresh" for a while but got a bit tired of it and I was excited to see a new scent in Target this past week. I love to use these on towels/sheets/blankets and dog beds and it defiantly lasts at least a few days!

Life Lately

Here's a little update on what has been going on lately:

Over the long weekend we house/dog sat for 2 of our really great friends. They recently had a baby so I wanted to show off a few pics of their nursery!

The mural on the bottom is painted on. Came out awesome!

The black and white pics add such a nice touch
And here is Morgie and Fen wondering when their parents would be returning

I also went to a fabulous labor day cookout hosted by my friend Steph and her fiance.

I had to throw in this pic of my "pack" aren't they just adorable??

Lastly I made this baked sweet and sour chicken recipe off of pinterest. It was soooooo delicious. I have included the link so that you can check it out for yourself. I did add in some honey and chopped bell pepper. I will definitely be making this again, and the husband could not get enough!

Tooth Fact Tuesday

Why Should I Floss:

Floss removes plaque and debris that adhere to teeth and gums in between teeth, polishes tooth surfaces and controls bad breath. By flossing your teeth daily, you increase the chances of keeping your teeth a lifetime and decrease your chance of having periodontal (gum) disease and tooth decay.

Flossing is the single most important weapon against plaque, perhaps more important than the toothbrush. A toothbrush cleans the tops and sides of your teeth. Dental floss cleans between them. Some people use waterpicks, but floss is the best choice.  Many people just don't spend enough time flossing and many have never been taught to floss properly.

It is important to try and floss at least once a day. I like to tell my patients to leave floss all over the place so they always have access to it. Such as by the couch to use during your favorite TV show or in the car to use at stop lights. There are many different kinds of floss and it is important to find one that works best for you. Your dentist or hygienist can help you determine this. Below are a few samples of floss.

Show & Tell Week 3

I am linking up again with FromMrstoMama again for her Show & Tell Monday. This one is all about Fall!

1. Tell us what you are looking forward to this fall?

There is a LOT I am looking forward to this fall. The first thing is that I will NOT be going back to school. I am super excited about this and it means that I can participate in fun fall activities. I am  looking forward to: cooler weather (so I can start wearing my scarves), apple picking, pumpkin picking, chili, baking, football games (for the snacks not the sport), and the Topsfield Fair.

2. Show us your fall style.

Found this on Pinterest and think it sums up my fall style, it's all about being comfy.

3. Tell us your favorite things to do in the fall. If you have children, activities to do with the kids?

I love trying new recipes in the fall. Busting out my crock pot for new soups and baking anything with pumpkin in it. I am also a fan of  the fair, eating fair food and checking out all the animals!  Cool nights for fires and the hot tub are always fun!

4. Show us your favorite fall beverage.

Unfortunately I really only like water, wine and mixed drinks (with no carbonation). I have tried to venture out and try other things but it never goes well. I hear these are fall favorites though!

5. Tell us, how you will be participating in halloween this year. Plans? Costume ideas?

Our friends always have a Halloween party and I am hoping to try and come up with something creative this year. We will see how this goes! As for the day itself, the pups and I will be handing out candy to all the little trick or treaters!

Hope everyone had a great long weekend!
